Newsletter #8 – PICTURE CRITIQUE & MACRO

PICTURE CRITIQUE & MACRO

Big Buzz Down In Second Room

Another action packed evening, Dave B led an enthusiastic group through the exciting world of Macro and then Micro photography. Who would have thought that a jumping spider would have such an endearing face?

Looking at the photographs taken by James we can see the pleasure members had using their cameras. Ian used his ‘motorized rail system’ and much interest was shown in it.

YOUR PICTURES – SHOW & CRITIQUE – MAIN HALL

Up in the main hall we looked at recent images that members had brought in.

A lively discussion about critique followed. So many members have progressed in a few weeks, even using manual exposure! We are looking at using a different program on the computer called FastStone so we can illustrate the editing suggestions made in these sessions through the viewer itself, so you can see suggested changes whilst your image is up there on the wall. Thanks Rob for letting us know about this free software. If anyone else wants to download it, you can get it by clicking this LINK. There is also a FREE Image resizer there too for anyone having trouble resizing images. Once again, a big thank you to Tim who is giving valuable one to one help when needed. Thanks to James for taking this week’s photographs.
