SEDGEMOOR CAMERA CLUB
Food, Glorious Food
Well I know it was technically the Awards Evening, it was a sociable event and golly did you bring in a wonderful variety of food.
I was a little concerned when, with a week to go so few people had told Sharon what they were bringing. And then on the night it never stopped. Ian had said he was making a ‘chilli’, not sure I believed him. Didn’t know about the cake Ian’s mum made and Ian decorated, what a talented family.
And what about the pizzas? They just kept on arriving. It all helped to make a very sociable evening for the awards.
The AWARDS went smoothly with some members taking home two like Brian Bateman and Tim Grimes. Tim has his up proudly in his shop already.
Peter was over the moon with the award for PRETTIEST MODEL and was finally vindicated in his daily beauty rageme consisting of sand paper, wire wool and Oil of Olay.
Four very special DEDICATION AWARD plaques made by our very own Roger Hill, were given out to those that have shown outstanding dedication to the club. Ian has produced a video of the MAKING OF THE AWARDS which you can video by clicking HERE.
This was the main purpose of the evening, to say thank you to anyone who had made the club activities so successful. What is that Chinese proverb? “Many hands make light work” The more of you who get involved, the more enjoyable the activities are.
