Newsletter #43 – WE’RE BACK

Well it has all started again. The second year is up and running. and we spent most of our first meeting looking at all the wonderful images our members had produced over the summer. From Sheena’s eye popping shots of BANKSY’s Dismaland in Weston-Super-Mare to Mo’s day out in a corn field dodging combine harvesters!

We had it all. So much so, that we barely got through them all. Thank you to everyone for bringing in your images. Its easy to see the progress that so many of you have made. Here are a few more of those images to look at.

It was good to see so many coming and paying their subs on Wednesday, I think over 40 people reinstated thier membership. There were several new faces too which was great to see and hopefully they were impressed with the body of work they say.

I went through the new programme for the next couple of months, using the new sound system, “ Can you hear me mother?”, everyone agreed the sound was so much better, even at the end of the hall, although it was too loud for Lynda where she was sat at the entrance. Teething troubles for Brian C to sort out. Moving the mic through the members was a success as well, after we got used to not pressing the button to speak!

It was good to see an enthusiastic James do a wonderful job sorting out the refreshment, you should see the pile of biscuits he has already bought.
